Take the throne! Giro's TT presentation.
Just one day to the start of the Giro d'Italia 102. The big pink show will start on Saturday 11 May with a stage already important for the general overall: the time trial at the Santuario della Madonna di San Luca. Certainly at the end of the stage we will not know who will win the Giro, but we could already figure out who will be destined to lose it. For this reason, Vision is ready, providing to its many sponsored teams the best products to put the riders in the best possible conditions.
The first important innovation concerns the wheels. All EF Education First and Israel Cycling Academy riders will face the “San Luca” time trial, with tubeless ready rims. The advantages of the tubeless in fact are the smoothness and the longer hold of the pressure in case of puncture. In a stage in which every second will be fundamental to the challenge of the pink jersey, the riders will have the entire Vision aero wheel package available in the rim and disc brake versions.
Metron 81 SL: Metron 81 SL is a set of aero wheels for Triathlon and Time Trial. In its rim brake version it presents the braking surface with laser engraving which greatly improves braking performance.

Metron Disc: Metron Disc is the ideal wheel for the cyclist looking for maximum aerodynamic performance. The wheel has a unidirectional carbon fiber construction that guarantees rigidity and lightness.

THE ADVANTAGES OF TUBELESS COMPARED TO TUBULARS:
1. Best traction:
The lower internal pressure makes the covers more deformable and therefore able to "copy" the roughness of the ground, increasing traction during pedaling and stability during braking and cornering.
2. Puncture reduction:
With a tubeless configuration, the punctures are much less frequent. As there is no longer an internal air chamber, the famous "plucked" are eliminated.
EF Education First, Astana and Israel Cycling Academy will also have at their disposal the carbon crankset with Powerbox power meter, equipped with a special aerodynamic crown, during the time trial. This will represent a great advantage during the race, with the riders who will have their wattage under control, being able to manage their performance in the best way. Miguel Angel Lopez, leader of Astana and one of the big favourites of the edition, will use this technology throughout the race for the second year in a row, after the excellent results of 2018 when he reached the third step of the podium.
Powerbox Road Crankset: the FSA cable carbon arms and the BB386EVO pin constitute an extremely light and versatile crank with power meter, available with a double crown configuration.
Aerodynamic chainring: aluminum chainring with greater aerodynamics and rigidity.
EF Education First, Bahrain-Merida, Astana, Jumbo-Visma, Israel Cycling Academy and Nippo Fantini. There will be as many as 6 teams that will fight on the roads that join Bologna to the Santuario di San Luca with Vision TT handlebars.
The Metron TFA handlebar will be protagonist in this way. Developed with the contribution and experience of Vincenzo Nibali and used by the Sicilian champion during the challenges against the time of the Giro d’Italia.
Metron TFA: The new Metron Aerobar system features a flip -flop carbon wing basebar, ergonomic extensions and a snakebite stem which integrates the system together. This allows for an internal Di2 junction box with internal cable routing along with one of the highest adjustable AM option currently available.
Is one of the greatest favuorites of the 102nd Giro d'Italia. Primoz Roglic, leader of the Jumbo-Visma team, will aim to wear the pink jersey from first stage, the time trial at the Santuario di San Luca, thanks to the handlebar that Vision provide for his assault to the Giro d'Italia.
