Home Vision World Best of 2021 road season! Best of 2021 road season! CHRISTMAS HIGHLIGHTS: VISION SPEED EXTENSIONS Elisa Balsamo, Women's Elite road World Champion. 20 Oct 2021 Best of 2021 road season! The 2021 road racing season is over, and it’s time to celebrate the best moments we have shared with our sponsored teams. We have seen some spectacular performances over the past months with Grand Tours wins, the Monuments and even two World Championship titles! It has been a fantastic journey around the world together with the greatest champions who, like every year, choose the best components to reach the best performance. 1 - WOUT VAN AERT WINS PRESTIGIOUS MONT VENTOUX STAGE AT TOUR DE FRANCEOn both road and mud, Van Aert’s cycling life has been a decorated one. He has achieved three cyclo-cross world titles (we remember the fantastic triumph on Colnago bike and FSA cockpit in 2016) and victories at Milan-San Remo and Strade Bianche on his palmarès, always with an FSA cockpit. This season alone, the Belgian rider of team Jumbo-Visma collected victories at Gent-Wevelgem and Amstel Gold Race, took second place in Olympic race and World Championships, but his Tour solo win on the double Mont Ventoux stage at the Tour this year was the standout moment of his career to date!2- PRIMOZ ROGLIC TRIUMPHS IN VUELTA A ESPAÑA FOR THIRD STRAIGHT YEARAs it had begun, so it ended: Primož Roglič concluded the 2021 Vuelta a España just as he started, with victory in a time trial, celebrated with the red leader’s jersey in front of Santiago de Compostela cathedral. For the third year in a row, FSA & Vision products have been on top of the La Vuelta final podium with the Slovenian champion of team Jumbo-Visma!3- ELISA BALSAMO STORMED TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP GLORYElisa Balsamo (Valcar- Travel & Service) stormed to Women’s Elite World Championship glory in Leuven, beating out Marianne Vos in a reduced “FSA” bunch sprint after an impressive lead-out from her Italian teammates. Undoubtedly, this is her best achievement to date! Transfering Balsamo's power to her Metron wheels was FSA PowerBox power meter chainset fitted with 52/36 chainrings. 4- FILIPPO BARONCINI WINS U23 MEN'S ROAD RACE USING FSA POWERBOXFilippo Baroncini (Team Colpack-Ballan), completed a triumphal edition of the 2021 UCI Road World Championships, winning the U23 title with an FSA Powerbox road carbon crankset. Despite this crankset weighing 100 grams more (for the powermeter), he didn't want to omit it from his bike. Another choice of his was the FSA Powerbox Aero Chainring. It is stiffer and more aero, so for someone who also produces 1,500 watts to the ground, it represents an excellent solution. 5- SONNY COLBRELLI WINS IN HIS PARIS-ROUBAIX DEBUT!His bike setup and components were the key to Sonny Colbrelli’s success at the Hell of the North, where his FSA carbon cockpit helped propel him to victory in the vital sprint to the line. Sonny Colbrelli chose the K-Force Compact handlebar, combined with the 110 mm FSA NS ACR aluminum stem, which allowed for complete internal cable routing even without the use of the integrated cockpit.
